Well, I finally got SCAL. My dad bought it for me this weekend. He was asking how hard it would be to do something & if my Cricut could cut it. Well, I told him that i didn't have a cart with the image that he wanted with so much detail. I also explained to him about SCAL & that I would be able to cut anything that I could find on the internet as long as I could copy & paste it. So he told me to get it.
Now I have a ton of tutorials to read & watch. Because I have no idea what I am doing. I have figured out a little bit just playing around. But when it comes to importing, converting the files, & cleaning them up I'm hopeless. And don't even get me started with inkscape. I haven't been able to figure anything out with that.
Anyone reading this, if you have tips or links to tutorials please send me the link.
Thanks for looking. Questions & comments are always welcomed.

Hi!
I'm new to SCAL too, but being a creative-minded person in the IT field, its coming to me pretty easily. I'm working on setting up a blog with tutorials (and tips) I'm learning along the way, but I haven't found the time to get the blog solidified yet... hopefully before this coming weekend it will be up. In the meantime, feel free to email me any specific questions you have - I spent a LOT of time with Inkscape this weekend and I see it as a virual endless tool to cut *ANYTHING* your heart has ever desired! :o) Details on the blog to follow, I'll appreciate any links you can provide to your readers once I have it up and running if you find it useful!!!
I can be contacted by anyone at anytime with any kind of questions at SinissippiPointCraft@charter.net. :o)
I recommend Dan!

There were just a few things I needed to know how to do in Inkscape then I was running wild! It's awesome once you learn it!
Good luck!
